Sam London, President

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Sam brings extensive merger, acquisition and corporate finance knowledge to each transaction.

Prior to forming Chartview in 2002, Sam served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development for Mackenzie Financial Corporation and Chief Financial Officer for the MRS Group of Companies [1998-2002], Director, Corporate Finance for Global Strategy Financial Inc. [1990-1998] and Tax Manager with Ernst & Young [1985-1989].

Over the course of his career, Sam has advised on over 60 transactions, primarily mid-market, with a total market value exceeding $7 billion.

Sam is a Chartered Accountant and holds both a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Rotman School of Management. Sam has also completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-depth Tax Course, corporate finance and securities law course from the University of Toronto, and other specialized courses in securities, finance, negotiations, mergers and acquisitions.

Sam has served as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto division of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and as a member of the Independent Review Committee for mutual funds of Hartford Investments Canada Corp.
